Corinda's Cottages, Hobart
Much confusion will be avoided if I begin by
pointing out that Corinda is not a person, but rather a stately
Victorian mansion in a quiet, hilltop location close to Hobart city
centre. Corinda's Cottages are the award-winning, lovingly restored
outbuildings on the site, now beautifully furnished with antiques.
For the most part, anything smacking of modernity has been carefully
hidden away, while many vintage items have been restored to full
working order. The abiding memory here will be sitting in the warm
glow of candlelight in front of the log fire, sipping a G&T and
listening to 'the wireless'.
