This is: Quebec to Florida, by Sea (2019)
This was our unscheduled day at sea, brought about by the gale warning that had led to cancellation of our Newport, RI stop, and the related decision to stay tied up all night in Boston. After breakfast and showers, we attempted to find somewhere to relax, so that cabin steward Ding could get on with his work. Unfortunately, just about every indoor public area seemed to be occupied already. We eventually managed to squeeze into a corner of Skywalkers, which turned out to be a bad idea: the gale-force wind was whipping up rough seas, and with its elevated position at the very back of the ship, Skywalkers was experiencing an amplified version of the rocking motion affecting Caribbean Princess as a whole.
Bruce remembered a little-known area that had public seating and good air conditioning, so I went to find it before my first signs of queasiness developed into anything worse. Despite the low, amidships position and the plentiful supply of fresh air, I felt increasingly out of sorts and I was soon heading back to the cabin, where Bruce gave me two of the near-miraculous motion sickness pills that we had both acquired on our 2018 cruise. (I didn't have any left.) I felt considerably better within the hour, but still spent several more hours lying on top of my bed, resting.
I felt more or less recovered by 4pm. Despite this progress, I decided that it would be prudent to lay off the cocktails this evening. Dinner was in the Palm dining room. I confirmed my feelings of a successful recovery by enjoying Swiss air-dried beef, followed by fettucini.
[Note: As a result of feeling under the weather, I only have two photos today.]
