August 2005 : Barra
The purpose of this day trip was to take
part - albeit to a limited extent - in the FlyerTalk BA Board's
Barra Beach-Landing Party Weekend, which had started the previous
day and was due to continue until Monday 29th - a Bank Holiday for
those based south of the border. For two of the group - Greg and
myself - this meant just three hours on the island. However the main
group had laid on an excellent picnic on the sandy Atlantic beach
behind the airport. The available time passed all too quickly.
