March 2016: Bournemouth

Bournemouth is a substantial south-coast town and seaside resort that has traditionally held a particular appeal among an older demographic. While the town featured in my itinerary mainly as a convenient night stop, I took the opportunity to have a look around and get a feel for the place in what was very clearly low season.
