Best Western Grand Hotel, Bryce Canyon City
There are two substantial hotels in the centre of Bryce Canyon City: the famous Ruby's Inn and the Grand Hotel. Both are now part of the Best Western chain and both have been branded as Best Western Plus ("sometimes you just want that little bit extra!") I chose the Grand more or less at random and was well pleased with what I found. Although looking like a fairly generic North American hotel from the outside, I thought the public areas showed a bit of individuality and character, while my room was comfortable and quiet.
There were no evening meals in the Grand's restaurant and it was suggested that guests make use of the restaurant facilities at Ruby's. The breakfast area was a little overwhelmed with the sheer numbers staying and apparently all planning on starting their day at the same time. Apart from that, however, it was an enjoyable stay.
