Flight Log 4: Scenic Flight

Grand Canyon (GCN) - Grand Canyon (GCN)

This scenic flight was my first time on a Twin Otter since the Barra beach landing trip of 2005. This flight would take place over very different terrain and the customised 'Vistaliner' variant had been created by fitting larger windows, quieter engines and an audio-guide system. Having been weighed at check-in and allocated seats on that basis, passengers were asked to line up on painted footprints corresponding to the cabin layout! I was delighted to have Row 2 to myself, which meant that I would be able to take pictures out of both sides of the aircraft. Grand Canyon Airlines had been in continuous operation since 1927, so I felt I was in safe hands!

Other than these brief observations, this hugely enjoyable experience was all about the views, so perhaps it's best to let the photos do the rest of the talking.
