Round The World and other travels

Although some considerable distance from Kyoto station, I thought this hotel was very well situated, just two minutes from the Keage subway station. It is within easy walking distance of the Nanzenji Temple and the start of the Path of Philosophy, and is also handy for the Heian Shrine and the whole, interest-packed Higashiyama area. I wasn't expecting any kind of special treatment here, as my SPG status had gone down to pleb level, and was therefore very satisfied with the offered upgrade from Superior to Deluxe.
