This is: Quebec to Florida, by Sea (2019)
After a sound, uninterrupted sleep, we both woke relatively early and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to return to the International Café at a hopefully less busy time. It worked: hot food plus plenty of empty seats and a calm atmosphere - perfect! After breakfast, we lounged in the room for a bit and then, for the first time on this cruise, attended a Trivia Quiz in Club Fusion (the new name for the Vista Lounge). Naturally enough, this was accompanied by a round of Bloody Caesars. Bruce and I completed our cards independently and both of us scored a fairly miserable 11/20 - oops, not our finest hour.
With the weather noticeably warmer than on Sunday and the ocean a completely flat calm, we then enjoyed a couple of hours on deck. Bruce tried to make some progress with the book he was reading, while I constantly interrupted him with questions as I tried to eliminate the backlog in my trip notes. It must have been a bit annoying.
We had a soup-and-sandwich lunch at the buffet, followed by a couple of brisk circuits of the Promenade Deck. After another hour or so working on the task back in our cabin, I managed to bring my notes fully up-to-date - yay! With that task completed, we remained in the cabin for a bit, watching various TV shows.
For dinner tonight, we had made a booking at the rather prestigious Crown Grill, and decided to go for a dress code pitched somewhere between normal and formal. We went to the Wheelhouse Bar for cocktails around 6:15pm and transferred to the steakhouse at the appointed hour of 7pm. The grill lived up to its usual standard and I thoroughly enjoyed a scallop starter, an intermediate salad and a main course of Kansas City Strip (New York Strip on the bone), served with mashed potatoes and mushrooms.
