Although I must admit that I turned to this hotel after availability at my chosen property dried up, in the end I was very happy to be based there. Situated adjacent to Bergen's railway station, it is the perfect choice for anyone intending to make use of the trains, buses or new trams to explore beyond the city itself. For those whose plans are limited to within the city, it is worth bearing in mind that it is a good 10- or 15-minute walk from the main central area. A little unexpectedly, perhaps, the hotel boasts an award-winning whisky bar.
My spacious third-floor corner room was designated a Junior Suite.
