August 2005 : Washington, DC

So Uncle Globetrotter decided to take nephews Mark and Michael on a jaunt to Washington DC as a little treat. With only three days available in the city, it was definitely a flying visit , but it was enough for a good introduction (for them) and - after 18 years - a long overdue update (for me). A great time was had by all.

Capitol Hill visit

 

Unfortunately, this trip took place at the height of the well-publicised Gate Gourmet dispute, affecting BA flights.
