Return to Scandinavia

I woke up shortly before my alarm was due to go off at 0745 and decided to get up. I had a shower, ate a banana as a meagre first breakfast and caught the 0900 shuttle bus to the airport. On completion of check-in, I was surprised to see the agent abandon her post and escort me all the way to the First Class lounge, where I had a more reasonable breakfast and then just sat back and relaxed in the relatively opulent surroundings.

The same agent came to pick me up at 1200 and escorted to the aircraft door.

On arrival at a sunny and warm Frankfurt, I had a long walk to the 'A' gates area via Immigration and Security. I settled into the small Senator lounge, which was busy at first, and enjoyed a German sausage from the buffet with potato salad and some mustard. After being bussed to my next flight a few hours later, I had the reassurance of spotting my suitcase just prior to going up the steps and into the McDonnell-Douglas MD-82.

Arrival at Copenhagen was a particularly easy matter and I was soon following the familiar path from Terminal 3 to the Hilton across the road. It had been a very long day, albeit one in which creature comforts featured heavily, but I was now just a short hop away from home and I had a comfortable and rather stylish base for the final night of the trip.
