This is: Voyage of the Glaciers (2015)
Following
the practice of the last few days, I woke up at 0630 - far too early
for today's more relaxed agenda. I dozed for a while longer, got up
at my leisure and enjoyed a nice omelette for breakfast in the hotel
restaurant. As there was no great sightseeing programme today, I put
off leaving the Hilton Garden Inn until around 1115. I drove back to
Ellensburg using Interstate 82 rather than the canyon road; it still
had some impressive ups and downs for a road that was built to
freeway standards. Later, on exiting I-90, I filled up the car and
made my way to Main Street, just as I had done in the evening, two
days previously. On this occasion I selected the Palace Café for
lunch and had a burger with the fries replaced by a salad, in an
attempt to be reasonably healthy about my choice.
My journey then continued towards Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls. Leaving I-90 for the second time, I passed through North Bend and Snoqualmie, both of which looked attractive in the afternoon sun. In spite of this, something urged me to keep going towards my destination. After checking in at what was clearly an upmarket property, I explored the grounds, saw the famous falls (familiar to viewers of Twin Peaks) and then decided to spend some time simply relaxing in my very attractive and comfortable room.

I probably made a poor decision for my evening meal, choosing The Attic, the hotel's casual bar and food venue, over the more formal option of The Dining Room. The former turned out to be busy and very noisy indeed, and I somehow managed to rack up a substantial bill with my modest order of a cocktail, two starters and a glass of wine.
