Hilton Metropole, Florence

A fairly typical Hilton property, but situated right at the edge of the city. A complimentary shuttle connects the hotel with the main railway station on a mainly hourly frequency, but watch out for a few gaps in the service! The first-floor restaurant was excellent. The 15th-floor Executive Lounge offers the usual facilities, but the best part is its physical design. City-facing and with a sizeable outdoors section, it is an attractive place to relax.
