This is: Spring Fever 2008
Canouan (CIW) - Barbados (BGI)
With the group for the transfer back to Barbados being twice the size of that on the outbound, our aircraft on this occasion was an SVG Air-operated Islander. We only had one pilot for this flight, and he split the group up, with some boarding by the forward door on the starboard side and the others boarding by the rear door on the port side. This process worked very well for me : I ended up in 1B (at least, that's what I'm calling it) so that, with no co-pilot, I had an amazing view straight ahead!
We got going at 1311 and taxied to the far end of the runway. It was fun having a co-pilot's-eye view of the take-off! I was glad that I wasn't the superstitious type, as we took our leave of Runway 13 at precisely 1313 The cruise at 7,000ft - I read it for myself - passed fairly routinely, and I was glad to find that the cabin temperature became more bearable as time went on.
We began our descent just after two o'clock and again, I had the most amazing views of the approach and landing at BGI. We touched down at 1419 and were parked on-stand a mere three minutes later.
What a fun flight!
