Flight Log 9 : BA124

Doha (DOH) - Bahrain Manama (BAH)

I was amazed that boarding started a full hour prior to the scheduled departure time - is this a record? As the bus took us out to the plane - the one I'd just left, obviously! - I noticed that it was G-ZZZC. When I was shown to 1A again, I quietly thought to myself : "I know where it is; I've just been there!"   I was offered a glass of Champagne, some cashew nuts and a copy of The Times. In complete contrast to the previous sector, we had a fairly full cabin. We pushed back five minutes ahead of schedule at 2315 and took off 11 minutes later.

The same delicious canapés were served, with the standard liquid accompaniment , and this time the seat belt signs weren't even switched off. We touched down at 2348 and were parked three minutes after that. It seemed that I was the only passenger disembarking at Bahrain - not just in F, but from the whole plane! (I kept glancing behind me as I walked the long, straight corridor to Passport Control and there was nobody else at all!)

Champagne count this time : 2
