Hyatt at Olive 8, Seattle
This hotel was very well located in downtown Seattle, just a few minutes' walk from the prestigious Nordstrom department store and the famous Pike Place Market. Our 12th-floor corner room enjoyed a quiet location and was particularly spacious. The in-house Urbane Bar was an agreeable and popular place for a pre-dinner aperitif.
Unfortunately there were a couple of housekeeping
issues. Evidence of previous occupation is a complete no-no in any
hotel room, and never more so than at a premium brand like Hyatt. On
this occasion it took the form of long black hairs in the bathtub
and, quite bizarrely, a packet of beef jerky in the safe!
