Flight Impressions
LEFT and BELOW: The journey to SE Asia began with an easyJet hop from Edinburgh to Bristol
(Click for full flight log)
ABOVE: My first flight on Bangkok Airways was PG991 from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Phu Quoc
ABOVE: We left Phu Quoc on a short hop to Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam Airlines, complete with lounge time at the airport. Having been downgraded from Business due to an aircraft switch, I nevertheless enjoyed excellent legroom in the front row of the Economy cabin. I also got a drink and snack, while Bruce received nothing at all in Business!
ABOVE: The next leg of the homeward journey saw us on board a Malaysia Airlines flight to Kuala Lumpur, in Business Class. Pictures show the airport experience, cabin, main in-flight meal and final snack. The latter featured partly-DIY whisky & soda - MH no longer serves alcohol on short-haul flights. I think we each managed to keep a straight face!
ABOVE: A long day of westward travel begins with a SriLankan Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Colombo. Pictures show the airport experience, including both MH 'Golden' and Cathay Pacific lounges at KUL, the flight itself and arrival at Colombo.

RIGHT and BELOW: A final, routine shuttle flight from London Heathrow to Edinburgh
