Round The World and other travels

A frequent flyer's collection of trip diaries

This is: Chilling Out on Phu Quoc (2018)

Heading for home - but gently does it!

Today - Scotland's unofficial national day - brought the realisation that our time on idyllic Phu Quoc was rapidly drawing to a close - boo-hoo! We would soon be starting the long journey home, a process that was set to occupy most of the next four days. In the meantime, we took breakfast a little later than usual at Tempus Fugit. (Appropriate name: time had indeed flown!) Thereafter, we spent the remainder of the morning on a combination of tossing around ideas for a future European trip, packing, showering and lazing.

Time for departure came round soon enough and the transfer to the island's airport gave an opportunity to reflect on the feelings of well-being and contentment engendered by this hugely enjoyable stay on a truly lovely island retreat.
