Singapore sights and Do events

Once again, there was no need for an early start, so I got up at my leisure and, as usual, had a Club breakfast. It was time to leave the 'standard sights' and see something new. Having consulted my map, I decided to start by walking round towards Fort Canning and the surrounding area. The sun was already very strong. From there, I made my way to Chinatown, which I did visit during my first time in Singapore in 1986, and of which I still had vivid memories. I correctly guessed that it would be buzzing, with preparations for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.

After all that, I made my way back to the familiar territory of Boat Quay, where the FT group were due to meet for drinks at 3 o'clock. Before that, though, I quite by chance met up with UK-based FT friend Moomba (a.k.a. JC), so we went for a pre-drinks coffee to catch up on news. The rest of the day was taken up with further socialising, centred on Boat Quay, although I returned to the IC between drinks and dinner to shower and change.
