Hilton, Quebec City
This Hilton has a superb location, just outside the city walls and across the street from the Quebec parliament building. The old city, the citadel and the Plains of Abraham are all an easy walk away, although this is said in the context of a city where hills are encountered almost at every turn. I was delighted with my corner room, which gave views over the historic area, the river and the parliament building. It had an interesting design, with a long internal corridor to reach the door, which had the effect of much reducing any noise from the public corridor.
The top-floor Executive Lounge provided a nice breakfast spread, but I was unable to sample the evening offering due to my stay being much curtailed by flight cancellations and delays.
