Hotel 2

Hilton, London Heathrow T4

At the time of my visit, Hilton's sole presence at London Heathrow was their T4 hotel, a five-minute walk from the terminal in a covered walkway (a.k.a. corrugated metal tube). A brand new hotel was under construction at the time, designed to serve Terminal 5. Once the walkway has been left behind, the T4 property is pleasant and modern. I was upgraded to the Executive Floor and allocated an inner room overlooking the main atrium. This did not cause any noise issues, thanks to sound-proofed windows and the height above the ground floor. Although the lack of direct daylight was a little unusual, it hardly mattered in an airport hotel.

One significant change from previous stays was that a redeveloped and much improved Executive Lounge was in operation, now located on the ground floor.
