Flight Impressions
ABOVE: A fairly routine short hop from a summery-looking Edinburgh to a dull and damp Dublin. Flight EI3253 is operated by a Stobart Air ATR-72 aircraft, on behalf of Aer Lingus Regional.
ABOVE: British Airways Club Europe breakfast service between Dublin and London Heathrow, on board an Airbus A319.
ABOVE: British Airways Galleries First (Terminal 3), followed by American Airlines business class transatlantic service from London Heathrow to Charlotte, North Carolina, on an ex-US Airways Airbus A330-300. As with 'native' AA Boeing 777-300ER aircraft flying transatlantic routes, the seats are in the popular 'reverse herringbone' layout with direct aisle access for all.
RIGHT: AA2057 transcon, from Charlotte to Los Angeles, operated by an ex-US Airways Airbus A321.
ABOVE: American Eagle Embraer 175 from Los Angeles to Vancouver, BC, completing the outbound journey. ABOVE: AA6063 YVR-LAX. Alert the media - RTWMAN in shock downgrade ordeal!
THIS PANEL (RIGHT and BELOW): Lounge-hopping (with breakfast!) at LAX, courtesy of Qantas and American, followed by flight AA59 Los Angeles - Kona, on board an American Airlines Airbus A321.
BELOW: The homeward journey begins with AA58 Kona - Los Angeles.
THIS PANEL (LEFT and BELOW): Following one of the worst ever check-in experiences, we managed to enjoy a light pre-flight brunch. The AA202 transcon from Los Angeles to Boston was operated by a Boeing 737-800.
BELOW: Soon-to-be-replaced British Airways lounge at Boston Logan, followed by Club World service to London Heathrow on one of the airline's original batch of Boeing 777-200s, with enormous GE engines. Brunch service and pre-arrival snack are shown.
RIGHT: British Airways Galleries First at Heathrow Terminal 5, then BA826 Club Europe to Dublin.
LEFT: Final hop from Dublin (Terminal 2) back to Edinburgh on EI3252.
