December 2006 : Salzburg Christmas Do
The Salzburg Christmas Market Do came about
when somebody (
) suggested holding an Away-Do to celebrate the launch of the new BA
Gatwick - Salzburg service. Somehow or other, it turned into the
biggest BA Board Away-Do to date
Saturday afternoon
We began our visit with a walk in the crisp sunshine to the main Christmas Market around the Cathedral, where we sampled some of the open-air fare. Most of the group took the surprisingly fast-moving funicular up to the castle to enjoy the views. A sub-group of Culture Vultures rounded off the afternoon / early evening with a chamber music concert in the castle.
