The Hotel
For me, the IC Malta was a real
find and contributed much towards the overall success of this short
trip. The only minor downsides are purely external : it doesn't have
much of an appearance from the street and it's situated in the
clubbing heartland of St Julian's. Step through the revolving front
door, however, and you enter another world of opulent calm,
luxurious comfort and wonderfully friendly service. The hotel is
built around a complex, multi-level inner courtyard featuring the
outdoor pool, sun terraces, gardens and - in season - al fresco
dining. I enjoyed all the food here, but never more so than at
Eastern Breeze, the in-house Asian restaurant, where the quality
of the food and the service were equally outstanding. Status
recognition at the hotel was excellent, but you don't need the Royal
Ambassador tag to have a great time here. (It does help, of course

The Club Lounge
The InterContinental Club Lounge on
the 15th floor is a wonderful asset to the hotel. Spacious and
comfortable, it is tastefully decorated and features local Mdina
glassware. A breakfast buffet is provided every day, with freshly
cooked items available on request. Other daily highlights are
afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks and canapés. Tea, coffee, soft
drinks and beer are available throughout the day and the No Smoking
policy ensures a pleasant atmosphere. Internet access is provided
and there is no shortage of TVs and newspapers for those who prefer
to get their news by more traditional means. The lounge has a
private terrace giving views over the whole outdoor area of the
hotel. Best of all are the friendly and professional staff who go
out of their way to ensure that you are well looked after

Room 1503
Modern, comfortable king-bed suite
featuring day room, bedroom, large bathroom and small balcony - do I
sound like an estate agent, or what?

It's the wrong side to have a good view, but you can't have
			everything!
