Sheraton, Hanoi
The Sheraton is situated outside Hanoi city centre on the shore of the West Lake, and is therefore a taxi ride away from the main sights. Our stay was simply an overnight stopover between arriving from Hoi An and setting off for our Ha Long Bay cruise, and for that purpose it was perfect. The hotel has some attractive grounds laid out in the form of a Chinese garden, and we managed a quick look at these as darkness was falling.
The executive lounge was another good one, offering friendly service and a nice happy-hour selection of drinks and canapés.
