The Curtis - a DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton, Denver
The Curtis, not surprisingly, is
situated in Curtis Street in downtown Denver, adjacent to the
Performing Arts complex and less than two blocks from the 16th
Street Mall. The building dates from 1974 and is a little unusual in
that it also houses student accommodation on floors 17-30. The hotel
joined the Hilton family in 2010 as a DoubleTree. It claims to be a
"contemporary boutique hotel" with a "personality all its own",
offering a "pop culture experience" - thank heavens I didn't read
that last bit prior to booking!
In the event, I enjoyed the thoroughly informal atmosphere, the
friendly staff and the unusual posters decorating the public areas.
I was also well pleased with my spacious and quiet corner room.
