Renaissance Resort & Spa, Koh Samui
An upscale and absolutely beautiful resort hotel built on both sides of a winding off-shoot from the main Chaweng - Lamai road. The main site is on the beach side of the road and consists of the villa accommodation, together with all the main public facilities. The other side of the road plays host to the more traditional hotel room accommodation.
My garden villa had a high-ceiling, open-plan layout, although
sliding doors could be used to split the accommodation into day
room, bedroom and bathroom area. However some of the best features were outside, where I had my own private
open-air table, sunloungers and Jacuzzi pool, set in a private,
walled patio area.
